Abstract：Abstract: The investigation on biodiversity of amphibians was carried out in the Xuefengshan Nature Reserve, Hunan Province, during 2017 to 2018 by the line-transect method. It was found that there were 27 species of amphibians, including 25 observed and 2 recorded species in this region. The identified amphi-bians belong to 2 orders and 8 families, which accounted for 39.71% and 6.62% of the species in Hunan and China, respectively. The further analyses indicated that the Shannon-Wiener, Simpson and the Pielou indexes of the amphibians in this region were 2.008 8, 0.784 9 and 0.624 1, respectively. Meanwhile, eight main human disturbances were found in this survey, including farming, grazing, collection, domestic garbage, road construction, capture, artificial channels, and wind power generation. Some measures were suggested to protect amphibians in this nature reserve.
