Abstract:Abstract: A complex gene regulatory network has been formed in plant to regulate its growth and development and physiological metabolism in order to adapt to the changes of the external environment in the long evolutionary process. One of the important approaches is to regulate the expression of target genes at the transcriptional level via the regulation of transcription factors. As one of the largest transcription factor families in Arabidopsis, MYB transcription factors are widely involved in regulating different physiological activities. Here, the classification and biological functions of MYB transcription factors in Arabidopsis thaliana were reviewed, with special emphasis on their roles in cell cycle control, secondary metabolism and adversity stress.
