Abstract:Abstract: Diabetes is a metabolic disease regulated by genetic and environment. It is difficult to cure and has a high incidence. The process of diabetes is closely related to epigenetic DNA methylation which regulates gene expression and is the bridge between environment and genetic factors. Intestinal flora can provide methyl donors, which contribute to methylation, and have become an emerging focus in diabetes research. DNA methylation relevant to intestinal flora and some metabolic pathways has close relationship with diabetes, and therefore provides a new clue for the pathogenesis and treatment of diabetes.
