AbstractAbstract: Sequences of miR-171 gene family were downloaded in miRBase by bioinformatics method. Molecular evolution of miR-171 gene family was analyzed and their target genes were predicted. The results showed that 219 sequences of miR-171 genes were found in 38 plant species totally. Most of the miR-171 genes were located in the intergenic region (IGR). There was no closely relationship found between molecular evolution of miR-171 gene family and the evolution of plants. Target genes of miR-171 gene family were predicted by three target gene prediction softwares in soybean and corn. The results found that miR-171 genes were involved in the regulation of growth factors, transcription factors, proteinase and other respects.
