Abstract：Abstract: In order to investigate the expression of galectin-3 in serum and osteosarcoma tissues as well as the relationship with clinical and pathological characteristics, the expression of galectin-3 in serum of patients with osteosarcoma and in osteosarcoma tissues was detected. The results showed the expression level of galectin-3 in patients’ serum was closely correlated with the phase of Enncking. In Ⅲ stage tumor tissues, and the expression of galectin-3 was positively correlated with the development of osteosarcoma. It indicates that galectin-3 may play an important role in the processes of the occurrence and development of osteosarcoma.
